About me

My route into backend work went one layer at a time. I started on desktop applications in C# and Java, moved to the web with PHP and CodeIgniter, took freelance product work in Laravel, and settled on the layer I like most: the backend, in Go.

What I care about now is the part users never see but always feel. Service boundaries that hold, database schemas that stay sane as the product grows, and APIs that behave the same way under load as they do in a demo. I like code the next engineer can read without a map.

Most of that work is in banking, where the cost of being wrong is a wrong balance rather than a broken page. Outside it I build in the open, most recently AsterRail, an escrow payment rail on Stellar that is running on mainnet.

Work experience

Five-plus years of growth: from cross-platform generalist to backend specialist. Every role built on the last.

  1. Dec 2022 to present

    Backend Developer Current

    Indocyber Global Technology

Backend work on Pinang, the lending platform of Bank Raya Indonesia, covering the Flexi, Dana Talangan and Performa products plus the internal operations dashboard.

    • Led the core banking migration from Finacle to Rayanet for Pinang Dana Talangan and Pinang Flexi, as the engineer responsible for coordinating the work across the project team, and disbursement ran faster afterwards.
    • Owned the Raya savings account opening flow inside Pinang, which added a second product to an application that had only done lending.
    • Built and maintained the BEM, Whitelist and CBS Pinang services behind those products.
    • Ran code review with the rest of the team, which is where the structure of the codebase actually gets held together.
    • Go
    • Gin
    • gRPC
    • PostgreSQL
    • SQL Server
    • Redis
    • Kubernetes
  2. Aug 2021 to Dec 2022

    Web Programmer

    Egov Kominfo Tangerang City

Public sector web applications for the city government, including the DISNAKER employment service that runs its training programmes and job fairs.

    • Built and maintained the DISNAKER training and job fair site.
    • Added WhatsApp messaging to the LAKSA public complaints service.
    • Wrote the HTML tag injection used by SIPKDI90.
    • PHP
    • CodeIgniter
    • MySQL
  3. Apr 2021 to Jul 2021

    Programmer

    PT. Danatel Pratama

First paid engineering role, on the KORLANTAS traffic police application.

    • Built the online and offline registration flow, so the application kept working where connectivity did not.
    • C#
    • Java
    • MySQL

AsterRail MAINNET

Escrow payment rail on Stellar

Problem
Cross-border payment for freelance work is slow and expensive, and the escrow meant to protect both sides is usually held by the same platform taking a cut of the job.
Solution
A non-custodial escrow built on Soroban. The client locks funds in the contract, the freelancer delivers, and the contract releases payment against an on-chain receipt, so neither side has to trust an intermediary holding the money.

Deployed to Stellar mainnet and running at asterrail.com.
